About Me
Hi I'm Gen Punongbayan,
Like everyone else who wanted to finish their schooling, I have two year background in Nursing and graduate of Psychology 2010. After I graduated in my home town in Laguna Philippines, boy I was happy because soon I can get a job and earn, I thought it was that simple.
After I met my classmate who are based on Manila. They showed me a different kind of business that can possibly change lives. I can't actually sleep at night thinking how can I get successful doing it.
That led me doing so many things, I joined different businesses to try my chances but to no avail I failed. That started me writing blog since 2012. I love reading tons of personal development book specially related to finance, business and spiritual enlightenment such as Rich Dad Poor Dad, Think and Grow Rich.
I also learned something from out of this world ideas from different author like Eckhart Tolle his book "Power of Now" and New Earth. Passionate about sharing handful of wisdom and learning.
I don't read books when I was still in school but I definitely appreciated and doing reading when I started to gain awareness.
I also enjoys reading other writers blogs specially life success stories and finance. Also love watching motivational and inspirational videos local and international.
I did became a CEO or Crew Employed Owner in a food stand business selling burger, hotdogs and french fries. You know how it feel that holding a degree and doing this small business is quite tough specially if you have no skill set and mental toughness. You should have the passion for it.
That's when I started investing in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) way back 2012 while in the corporate world until today. I tried and lost more in Forex trading but he gained insight on how it works.
I love risk and exploration in business.
I experienced some misfortune while in the corporate world early when I started. Been fired several time mostly I remember it was 3 times. Probably lack of experience in handling work environment and difficult people keeps me change job from time to time.
I'm a former call center agent in a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Company from 2013 to 2014. Most of my schedule is on graveyard shift so that's why I literally awake at night working and typing from evening till sunshine. This is tough if you ask me. You can get sick.
During my job in call center I tried numbers of jobs, from being an insurance agent, work out a part time network marketing business to starting up a traditional lampshade business. Some still produces result some did slows down. - Bit unfocused to be honest and you can't focus result if you do a lot of things simultaneously.
Until one day my performance suffer from not having enough rest. Soon I get a poor ratings from my company and later got dismissed from more than a year job. There are so much lesson to be learned and apply for the next venture.
From the span of two years after graduating back in 2010 I changes jobs (5) times. Mainly due to my impatience and attitude. I realized I'm getting old, also watching people getting broke makes me realized I need some changes.
I wanted everything to get straight. So I focus on diligently working.
Opportunity knocks and I had an offer with my aunty abroad. She encourage me to go there, I didn't failed to look for a company in Dubai but there was another problem they offer me good salary but I didn't realize they had no employment visa to give me and it was really disappointing.
I was nearly hopeless but having that fighting spirit and dream, keeps me getting back up from every major set back.
I rely on educating myself to the resources available out there and learning from other successful people experience. I wanted to put it all here in this blog. Just keep on writing and doing what I love.
Blog purpose
I'm writing to develop people into a better version of themselves doing their own thing is one of the major driving force that's keeps me writing.
Hopeful that they won't burried their dreams in life due to bad circumstances.
For the past few years I decide to share some of my insight and learning through the expression this blog.
God was so great that he had given us courage to get up on our feet and never let us empty handed. Don't quit what you are doing, just love what you do.
I believe everyone had to share something if you discover your calling, don't let it go to waste. Create something and that might changes people's lives.
