If you have time you can always watch this 2011 film "The Billionaire" a 2 hour movie to get the lesson of the story.

The path "Top" took is really a brave thing to do. Quitting his studies and facing uncertainty in the future didn't stop him down on pursuing on what he believes in.

There's so many lessons extracted from the movie here's just my list:

  1. He doesn't knew everything in the business he started but spite of that he still started and find his way what works for him and what's not through learning the process and mistakes.
  2. He trusted his inner voice within. Although his friend, girl friend and even his parents advises him, he still trusted his voice within and follow through. Good thing he trusted his guts.
  3. He collected his ideas around to works for him. I know information can overload your head but I think we should be picky on what's just fit for us. I know there's ton of good information out there.
  4. He leverage his idea and expanded it. Never heard of the "Forest Encircle Cities Strategy" that's why I researched it. That's what the power of leverage do.
  5. You should not quit trying even you got into different venture in life. The point is in the process you will find out what will not work and what's working, as long as you stay in the business you will find your way.

Gilas Pilipinas Big Heart

Just recently watch the game between Croatia and Philippines Gilas Pilipinas team in their first FIBA World Cup game in Spain.

It was a close game and talking about the heart of the Filipinos and despite their size disadvantage to their opponent Croatia, it may look an easy game for the other team but watch out these Filipino player has heart and they never gave up till the last minute of the game.

See link here with the game details https://ph.sports.yahoo.com/news/gilas-versus-croatia

Although Croatia won in an overtime game 81-78, it was still an impressive game by the under size Philippines team. I've been playing basketball in my hometown years ago and we had this Inter-Barangay leagues and when we say this kind of league, do expect big players will play on the court.

Surely I know the feeling of pounding by opponent 3-5 inches taller than you. These people can fly high and jump over you. It's no walk in the park in the game of basketball. If you don't wanna beat up badly, you got to fight and play hard no matter what.

Gilas had lost the game but they surely knows how to play with their heart. In life you need to show some toughness or else life will beat you off the court.

Get your heart right in everything you do and it may just give you things you aren't expecting.

The Voice "Lyca Gairanod" and A 9 Year Old Dream

I knew that this young girl "Lyca Gairanod" inspired so much people whom is watching her true story in a Filipino channel last night. I had a goose bumps watching and her performance in Youtube.

I never tuned-in to the singing contest "The Voice Philippines" but my aunt just told me that a show will be featuring a 9-years-old talented young girl named "Lyca Gairanod" who became champion of that contest.

We all been wanting a good life for our family and we always have our own dreams and aspiration in life. In Lyca's case, she kept dreaming despite being in a poor family.

If you lost that desire let this young girl become an inspiration because I really felt the heart. Who said boys don't cry, her story did made me cry a bit.
